Northwest Local School District – Taylor, Pleasant Run and Struble Elementary Schools
Cincinnati, OH
The Kleingers Group provided full boundary and topographic surveying, site civil engineering, and preparation of early site bid packages for the replacement of three elementary school buildings.
On each site, the new buildings were constructed while the existing building remained in operation. The Struble Elementary and Taylor Elementary sites were relatively small in nature, which posed a challenge to construct the buildings while the existing buildings remained operational. And the Pleasant Run Elementary site contained a small creek that could not be disturbed, thereby limiting the site design on the southern side of the site. Working with the architect and general contractor, Kleingers phased the construction to allow for safe and efficient access to the existing facilities during the construction process.
The Struble and Pleasant Run sites involved traffic impact studies, which recommended roadway widening and improvements to accommodate the anticipated traffic flows for the respective buildings. The Struble site was especially challenging as there was extensive coordination with the adjacent CMHA development on Jonrose Avenue. Kleingers navigated the permitting process through Colerain Township, the Metropolitan Sewer District, Hamilton County Engineer’s Office, and ODOT.
Working with The Kleingers Group is simple.
